In the profile of the spot's creator mark him/her as a buddy.
- What shall I do if somebody got to know my unique upload address, and I do not want let him/her upload spots in my name?
On your account page you can have a new unique upload email address generated any time you want.
- If I send spots from different mobiles or different mailing programs, how can the system identify me?
After registration, every user gets a unique upload email address. Every spot sent to this address will be ordered to the given user.
- My mailing program attaches a signature to the end of the mail automatically. What happens with that?
The text found in the body of the email is not taken into account by the system.
- Can I send more than one spots at a time?
No. If more than one spot is attached to the email, the system only receives the first one.
- How many tags can be ordered to one spot?
Maximum ten.
- How can I create tags to a spot?
The subject of the email, in which the video is attached, should contain the tags. The tags should be separated by commas. In case of uploading from web, a separate field is created for them.
- What are the tags?
Every spot has some expressions (tags), which describe the topic and the way of recording of the spot.
- How many spots am I allowed to upload?
The number of the spots is not limited, you can upload one in a year or one in a minute.
- How long does it take till my spot will be visible at spOtmob.com?
It depends on the load of the system, but usually it takes 1-2 minutes after sending it.
- What should I do if I do not want to pay for the data traffic? (for example in case of roaming)
You have to copy the spot taken by mobile phone to a computer (for example via cable, infrared or Bluetooth), and from there you can send it by email. There is an opportunity to upload the spot from the site of spotmob by the help of a internet browser.
- What time does it take to send an email containing a spot?
It depends on the mobile network we use. In case of 3G networks it usually takes 5-15 seconds.
- What size of data traffic is created while sending a spot?
On the average a 30 second spot is 250-500 KB.
- How much does the use of spOtmob cost?
Using spOtmob is free of charge, you only have to pay data traffic fee after every email sent from your mobile to your mobile operator.
- What resolution shall I choose?
spOtmob works best in case of size QCIF (176*144), but the resolution of the spot can differ, if the total size does not exceed 500 KB.
- What is the maximal size of a spot?
The maximal size of a spot can be 30 seconds and 500 KB.
- What kind of phone can be used?
You can use every device, which is capable to take a video shot with format 3GP, and from which you are able to send an email.
